Recently, Supreme Court dismissed the petition of postponement of NEET/JEE 2020 exam. Some students are happy about this decision of Supreme Court, some are criticizing the court verdict.
NEET 2020 is scheduled as per his date 13th September 2020, JEE will be held between September 1st to 6 September. Both of the exams are already postponed due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic situation. This year over 25 lakhs of students have registered in NEET/JEE exam. They were all waited for this verdict with the long time.
According to Bench, “Career of students cannot be put under the Jeopardy so long”.
According to Supreme court, “Life should be moved on Covid-19 times. Can we just have stopped exam? We should move on. If the exams are not held, won’t it be loss to the country? Students will lose the academic year. Why can’t exams will be held in precautions? Arun Mishra asks Advocate Alakh Alok Srivastava while hearing the plea.
Some of NEET/JEE students are against the verdict of Supreme Court, they asked in their petition seeking postponement plea: -
- NEET/JEE exams should be held on only after the situation become under controlled.
- Increase the number of exams centres of both NEET and JEE so, at least there is one centre in one district of each state.
- There should be anew opportunity provide to NEET and JEE aspirants in the applications form. So, Aspirants can choose the exam centre.
The plea against the Postponement
- There are the parents of four students, who moved to the Supreme court and expressed “imminent need” to conduct NEET- JEE exams in September. Some students cannot afford to drop a year.
According to sources, The Vaccine of Covid- 19 will not come before 2021. Till then, we all should try to live with deadly disease, our safety in our hands. Don’t show any kind of carelessness. Life must go on.
